Thank you for your interest in hosting a trunk for Trunk or Treat!

• We want to make this event pleasant for parishioners of all ages and with a wide range of sensibilities. Please keep decorations non-scary, avoiding skeletons, goblins, scary monsters, weapons, blood etc. (If you wonder if a small child could find your theme scary, err on the side of caution.)

• You do not need to spend a lot of money on this. Party supply stores like Oriental Trading and Party City sell ready-made trunk or treat kits for only a few dollars. You can also find great supplies at the Dollar Tree to create your own decorations.

• Please provide a treat to hand out, but it doesn't have to be candy. Bubbles, tops, poppers, rings, etc. are all popular treats with kids.

• If you are sponsoring a trunk as a ministry, think of this as an outreach opportunity. You are welcome to include information about your ministry and to talk to parents.

• Set up of trunks should be completed before the event begins at 1:30 pm. We'll block off the PAC lot before 12:00 pm Mass, so there will be plenty of time. We'll be in touch with more details as we get closer to the event.

• Near the beginning of the event, we will gather the children for a costume parade, and the Trunk or Treat portion will begin after that (at about 2:15 pm).

• Costumes for both attendees and trunk hosts are optional, but fun! (Remember, to keep it fun and not scary.)

• In case of rain, we'll be in the PAC gym and will decorate tables (that we'll provide) instead of trunks.
