Pray with us with Hallow!
We are excited to partner with the Catholic prayer app Hallow to gift our parishioners a Hallow membership through Easter for only $1.
To sign up for this program, follow these steps:If you are brand new to Hallow and have never had an account:
1. Click this button to access our parish subscription
2. Search for "St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church"
3. Choose to register with your email or phone number.
4. Enter your payment information for the $1 charge.That's it!
If you have an existing free account:
1. Log out of your existing account on the app (and on your computer, if applicable).
2. Use a computer (not your phone) to redeem the parish subscription. Click on the link above. When prompted, log in with the email address/phone number that you used to set up your free account.
3. THEN, go to the app and log in there.
4. If you have forgotten your password, click here.

Once your account is set up...
We are so excited about the ways we can pray together as a parish. Here are two features to check out:
The Parish Community
When you join the parish community, you will be able to see other people in our parish who are also using Hallow. You can listen the the daily Pray40 challenge there and post your reflections.
(Note: Your app needs to be updated to the most recent version to access the Parish Community, so if you're having trouble following the steps below, go to your App Store and make sure your app is updated!)
To join the Parish Community:
1) Click "Community" at the bottom of the app.
2) Search for "St. Matthew the Apostle"
3) Choose whether or not you'd like Hallow to access your contacts. (Either is fine.)
4) Enter your name and a username.
The Parish Group
In the parish group, you can share your favorite prayers, write a reflection based on any prayer in the app (not just Pray40), and post prayer intentions.
To join the parish group:
1) Click the "Community" button at the bottom of the app.
2) Click the three dots on the top right.
3) Click the plus sign.
4) Click "Join a Group."
5) Enter the group code: M2DGXK. (If you have a friend who is already in the group, they can also just text you a link.)

Why Hallow?
Why are we encouraging parishioners to use Hallow? No, we don't get a kick back or anything. :) Our parish leadership has been discussing how to help our parishioners build their own prayer lives and also pray together, both at parish and on their own. We decided that by covering the great majority of the cost of for a parish membership, we could create a common prayer experience for a large portion of our parish family.
Watch the video for step-by-step instructions for how to set up your account and how to join our Parish Community page so that we can share prayer intentions and support each other! If you already set up an account during Advent, you're all set through Easter. To join our Parish Community page, log into the app, and click the "Community" icon at the bottom.
Hallow also allows our parish family to set up prayer groups, to experience a variety of types of Catholic prayer, to listen to Catholic music, and more. We hope you'll try it out!
(NB: This video references signing up for Advent, but the procedure is the same for Lent.) -
The fine print
Once our parish-subsidized membership period expires at Easter/the end of Lent, all subscriptions will be automatically renewed at a 20% discount.
If you know you're going to cancel, you can cancel at any time (even right after paying the $1) and still keep your subscription until Easter.
All parishioners who set up $1 accounts through Easter will receive frequent reminders about this both from us and from Hallow so that those who wish can cancel their Hallow memberships before the renewal period.
