Through Spirit of Peace, Roman Catholic counselors and a non-denominational counselor offer faith-based professional counseling services to St. Matthew the Apostle parishioners and as an outreach to our surrounding community. All counselors are licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board and combine standard clinical counseling practices with the beliefs, practices, and spirituality of our Church to provide a thorough and Christ-centered approach to healing. Counselors provide services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to promote healing, personal growth, loving relationships, and faith-filled lives.

Why choose counseling via St. Matthew the Apostle?
The counselors value the God-given dignity and potential of each individual. When working with individuals, couples, and families they are sensitive to and respect the spiritual dimension of each person in the healing process.
They value our Faith, the Word of God, excellence, integrity, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, loyalty, and gratitude and these values guide the way they approach counseling with their clients.
The counselors act as a resource in the establishment and continuity of parish-based peer support programs and other parish activities. All counseling services are offered in a confidential and professional manner with the goal of helping individuals and families improve their lives and relationships by strengthening their spiritual, emotional and physical well being.
While there is much stress and turmoil in our world today, we believe peace is possible – peace with God, peace with self, and peace with others. Because of God’s faithfulness and his promises, we offer hope as we come alongside those seeking peace in today’s troubled world.
We pray that God bless the services we offer here, and bless you as you continue to grow in a deeper relationship with Christ.
